From fashion styles to new songs, 2025 trends have taken over the Saints community by storm. Students are wearing popular wardrobe options, eating great and trending food, and listening to the top hits this year had to offer. Here are all of the most popular trends that have made it to St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes students’ closets, lunches in and outside of the cafeteria, playlists, and much more!
Trending Fashion Choices
This year, we’ve seen a handful of new (and returning) fashion styles that influence both men’s and women’s wardrobes. The newest style we’ve seen boys sport is quarter zips, which have taken over the classic Nike Tech we’ve all grown to love (or, rather, grown accustomed to). These quarter zips are paired with matcha, cold or warm, to complete the performative look. Speaking of performative, the term “performative male” has been all over TikTok – even Assistant Athletic Director Coach Hendi hopped on the trend this Halloween! All you need to complete the look is headphones, matcha, a book in hand, and a playlist full of Laufey and you’ll be good to go. This attracts many males who are looking for a more laid back style and good music taste to go along with it. Another top we’ve seen around campus is Parke sweatshirts. These large, comfortable, and stylish sweatshirts have been populating St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes’ hallways, even if they may or may not be in dress code. Nonetheless, they look super fashionable, just a little pricey.
Popular Stores
After looking at what Saints fashion has been up to, let’s take a sneak peek into what the new trending stores the Saints have been influenced by. Has ALO taken popularity over Lululemon? It appears so when looking at the daily outfits in the Saints community. While Lululemon has often been in the most popular shopping spots like Georgetown, Old Town, and Tysons, ALO has made the move with a new ALO store opening in Old Town. We’ve seen ALO sweatshirts on a daily basis over what used to be a Lululemon scuba. Chelsea Parke has highly influenced our Saints community with the Parke mock necks (unfortunately, they aren’t allowed in dress code), but that hasn’t stopped our Saints from hopping onto the trend, whether they’re worn on dress down days, practices, or weekends. While many of the stores are clothing brands, we can’t look past the Popmart stores holding the Labubus. Labubus have taken over, whether it’s hearing about them, seeing Labubus on social media, or, on a rare occasion, someone finding one; there is no denying Labubus have taken over.
Food
Whether you’re grabbing lunch during school or a sweet treat to help you refuel, Bradlee Center will probably be stocked with most of the latest food trends that are circulating this year. For starters, we have Dubai Chocolate, which has made its way from being baked at home to becoming a Crumbl flavor for one of its cookies of the week. This smooth, creamy, and nutty texture was hard to stay away from – everyone in the halls was addicted to Dubai Chocolate! Another flavor (and music trend) we were all obsessed with was the Moonbean Ice Cream Crumbl cookie, which came from the popular song Mystical Magical by Benson Boone. Although we’re not exactly sure what Moonbean Ice Cream is, we do know that its song and cookie flavor left us wanting more.
Movies and TV Shows
The Saints have not only come into school with the new trending clothes but also have been keeping up with the new trending new shows. Dancing With the Stars has taken over our Saints schedule every Tuesday from 8 PM to 10 PM. Let’s see who the stars are… Alix Earle, Jen Affleck, Hilaria Baldwin, Jordan Chiles, Baron Davis, Dylan Efron, Corey Feldman, Danielle Fishel, Elaine Hendrix, Scott Hoying, Robert Irwin, Lauren Jauregui, Whitney Leavitt, and Andy Richter. As our Saints eagerly wait for the final each night, they find themselves voting for who they’d like to see dance another week. On October 24th, many found themselves in a movie theatre possibly watching the movie of the year. Similar to Anyone but You in 2023 being the movie to see 2025 has brought its own unique scene. Regretting you grew a fast talk amongst the saints community starring McKenna Grace and Mason Thames.
This year has been filled with so many sweet treats, comfortable sweatshirts, upbeat dances, and so much more. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2026!
